… and wondering what is NOT online that we all would like to see?
In my case, more photos of statues, inscriptions, labelled with their date might be useful. What else?
Thoughts on Antiquity, Patristics, putting things online, information access, and more
From a non-archaeological point of view:
Maps, satellite photos, plans, … . Anything that helps ‘visualise’ what you read described in text. And more information in general. One of my favourite examples as it comes to ‘archaology for the general public’ (is that the right way to reference to it?) is this French site from the International Institite for Preventive Archaeology. A short overview of all the research/digs they are doing, not to much info, but contact information if you wish, something about the finds, .. . You can find them at http://www.inrap.com/ .
Interesting – thank you. I’m non-archaeological too, and I agree with you.
