Linking Egyptian and Babylonian chronology

Jona Lendering points to a discovery of a Babylonian royal seal impression in a tomb in Sinai belonging to one of the Hyksos kings.  If true, this would provide a direct link between the two chronologies.  Read it – this is important.

For myself, I didn’t know that the tombs of the Hyksos monarchs were known!

  1. Please also read the comment by Weingarten, who points at inaccuracies in the original report. If things are too good to be true, they usually are not true.

  2. I remember an article this summer than in an Hyksos site in Egypt they discovered a seal from a Mesopotamian king, thus linking Egyptian chronology (which is well known) with Mesopotamia chronology (which is not) and confirming that the proper Mesopotamian chronology is Low Chronology
