My money’s on sabotage. The Big Data blade cuts two ways. The Wayback Machine contains information damaging to the liberal left, and it endures eternally unless it’s sent up in smoke. Littera scripta manet. Litura, whatever.
That sounds a wee bit paranoid for me, tho. We need never suppose conspiracy where cockup is an adequate explanation.
